Massimo Navarra was born in 1961 in Trieste, Italy.
After graduating at the Istituto Statale d'Arte, he attended some specialization courses and he devoted himself to interior design and visual communication for many years.
Some of his fashion illustrations, that he used to do alongside of his interior design activity, were noticed immediately by Anna Piaggi and Alberto Nodolini, who decided to publish them in 1984 in the prestigious trendy magazine of the Vogue Group "Vanity".
He's encouraged and esteemed by many art directors and fashion stylists like Franco Moschino, Cinzia Ruggeri, Elio Fiorucci and Giorgio Armani.
He started working as a free lance for the Studio di Design d'Interni, where he had worked before as an employee.His first art exhibition dates back to 1991. His debut is a success and the critique together with art professors Sergio Molesi and Maria Campitelli define his work striking.
He alternates painting with fashion interpretation through illustrations.His illustrations have been published almost concurrently by three of the major men's fashion magazines in Italy, Harper's Bazaar Uomo, Mondo Uomo and Uomo Vogue, while his paintings came out in Flash Art.In addition to these extremely influential publications, he has also been working with many important firms.
Currently he is holding seminaries with some of the major fashion institutes in Italy and abroad, as well as carrying on with his creative career.
